Virēre | I am verdant, green; I sprout new green growth. I flourish; I am lively, vigorous.
Inspired by underwater gardens, waterfalls and ruffly Tridacna clam shells. This season layers soft silks, tulles and organza + lace over embroideries with hand painted silks and hand crafted 3D silk organza hand dyed flowers. This creative explosion of a collection was created with love against all odds. Our team of artisans crafting during lockdowns.
New volume silhouettes layer over slim fit colourful column dresses, removable dramatic underskirts styled under party mini’s, the concept of layering and removing pieces from ceremony to reception creates sustainable & modern solution for brides. Each look consists of several interchangeable separates so brides can either re-style across her bridal event/s or wear again in the future.
Virēre presents the art behind the embroidery. Each dress takes months to hand paint into each pattern piece, many gowns total up to 25 meters of engineered artwork. Our drawing & painting is an integral part of the process to enable us to then develop each pattern piece into our colourful embroideries. For this collection we are excited to launch our original artworks in a series of new gowns to sit alongside their full embroidered sisters.
Hand painted dresses & peplums also represent how we can create our brides a unique artwork of their own favourite flowers and plants along with hand painted secret messages. These can include hand painted dates, initials or even pet portraits.
